Cangurus, métrica, sapatos de couro

Ontem deparei-me, numa tradução de uma tragédia grega (Hugh Lloyd-Jones, The Oresteia, Berkeley, 1979), com a seguinte nota sobre a métrica de uma secção lírica das Coéforas:
The Chorus sings a short lyric stanza without strophic responsion; the meter is iambic mixed with the dochmiacs so often found in lyrics that express emotional agitation. The rhythm of the dochmiac meter is well conveyed by Jebb's mnemonic: "Thĕ wīse kān-găroōs/Rĕsēnt lēath-ĕr shoēs."
